Privacy policy

NestAKeep ("we") is an app for organizing parenting ideas. This policy explains what the app collects, why, who helps us run it, how long we keep it, and how you can delete it. There are no ads, no analytics and no tracking in the app, and we never sell your data.

What we collect

What you save. The links, notes and post captions you add, and what the app makes from them: titles, ideas, the area and stage each belongs to, preview image links and the creator's handle. Also what you mark done, read or matched.
What you tell us about your family, if you choose to: your first name, your child's stage, and either their birth month or your due date (or how many weeks along you are, which the app turns into a due date). The app uses these only to show ideas that fit where you are. They are not medical records and we do not use them for anything else.
An anonymous account. The app creates one the first time it opens. It has no email, password or phone number, only a random identifier, so your saves can be backed up and shared with a partner.
Partner pairing. If you pair with someone, the invite code, who is paired with whom, and your reactions to your partner's saves. Passes are private: your partner never sees what you passed on.
A notification token, if you allow notifications, so we can tell you when your partner has saved new ideas.
Crash reports. If the app crashes or hits an error, it sends a report so we can fix it: what went wrong, where in the app, the app version, and your phone's model and system version. Reports carry no name, no saves and nothing you typed.
Purchases. If you subscribe, Apple or Google handles the payment. We receive whether you have an active subscription, linked to an anonymous identifier, never your card details.

We do not collect your contacts, location, photos, health records or browsing history. Reminders you turn on in the app are scheduled on your phone and send nothing to us.

How we use it

To keep your saves, back them up, and sync them between you and your partner.
To read a shared post and turn its caption into ideas: when you share a link, we fetch that post's public caption and send it, or the text you typed, to an AI service that suggests the ideas inside it. The caption is used for that one request and we do not keep it on our server.
To send the notifications you allowed.
To unlock Premium if you subscribe.
To find and fix crashes.

Who helps us run it

We share data only with the services below, only for the purpose listed, and only under terms that require them to protect it at least as well as this policy does.

Supabase stores your anonymous account, your saves and your pairing.
Railway hosts the server that reads shared posts.
OpenAI receives a post's caption or your typed text to suggest the ideas in it.
Expo delivers push notifications to your phone.
Sentry receives crash reports.
RevenueCat checks your subscription status with Apple or Google.
Apple and Google process payments and deliver the app.

Shop links open Amazon. What happens there is covered by Amazon's own privacy policy.

How long we keep it

We keep your saves for as long as you use the app, so they are there when you come back. When you delete your data, it is removed from our database straight away. Anything you shared with a partner stays in their guide, because it is theirs too.

Deleting your data, and changing your mind

In the app: open the You screen and tap Delete everything. This deletes your account and everything on our servers, unpairs you, and clears the app on your phone.
Without the app: see Delete your data.
To stop notifications, turn them off in the app or in your phone's settings. To stop sharing with your partner, unpair from the You screen.

Children

NestAKeep is for parents and parents to be. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13. The only information about a child the app holds is the stage, birth month or due date you choose to enter.
